Brampton en le Morthen street scenes 2000.

The sign says ‘Brampton en le Morthen welcomes careful drivers’ – I’ve yet to see a <yourtown> welcomes Drunk Maniac Drivers’ sign – so clichés rule OK (with local govt. sign writers anyway!).

The red telephone box is 1930s design and a listed building (as of course are the centuries old buildings).

This watercolour was done in the 1970s.
