There’s a sign some way up Bridge Street pointing out the Chesterfield Canal tow path. Don’t expect to see much water though – the remnant of the Chesterfield Canal that runs through the village is nothing but a depression in the ground filled with brambles and nettles, unlike the reclaimed sections at Kiveton and Anston.
